Spring has sprung! We can all finally come out of hibernation and enjoy the warmer temperatures and outdoor activities, including visiting an Indianapolis farmers’ market! We have rounded up a list of Indianapolis farmers’ markets for you to enjoy, so get your shopping list ready! Whether you’re looking for some yummy jams, homemade decor, or fresh flowers, you’re sure to find it at one of these weekly markets. The City Market

When: May-October, open every Wednesday from 9:30 am-1:30 pm 
Where: 222 East Market Street Indianapolis, IN 46204
About: Our first Indianapolis farmers’ market is known as “The Original Farmers’ Market” in Indianapolis. The farmers’ market at the City Market runs from May through October, rain or shine. Outside the downtown City Market, between Delaware and Alabama Street, you will find an array of fresh fruits, veggies, meats, baked goods, flowers, and wine. Grab some lunch at one of the various food vendors and it will soon become a favorite hump day tradition.

Indiana Black Farmers’ Market

When: Every Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 am-noon
Where: Herron High School, 110 E 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46202
About: The Indiana Black Farmers’ Market is hosted by the Indiana Black Farmers Co-op, and their mission is to “transform Black lives through education, collaboration, and good healthy food.” Show your support and shop from local black-owned farmers.

Broad Ripple Farmers’ Market

When: May-October, open Saturdays from 8:00 am-noon
Where: Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260
About: Now located at the North parking lot of the Second Presbyterian Church, the Broad Ripple Farmers’ Market is hosted by the Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) to support Broad Ripple village development and beautification projects. There is an option for online preordering, but they of course offer the classic farmers’ market shopping approach with all vendors on site.

Binford Market

When: May-October, open Saturdays from 8:00 am-noon
Where: 6620 Northview Way, Indianapolis, IN 46220
About: Located at Northview Church, the Binford Farmers’ Market is sponsored by the Binford Redeveloped and Growth, Inc. (BRAG). Over 80 vendors make up this space and offer meats, cheeses, fresh and locally grown produce, and fun crafts.

Carmel Market

When: May-September, open Saturdays from 8:00-11:30 am
Where: 2 Carter Green, Carmel, IN 46032
About: The Carmel Farmers’ Market, located at the corner of City Center Dr. and SW 3rd St, right off the Monon at the Center Green by the Palladium, you’ll find your typical market offerings and then some. Come hungry, enjoy live music, and leave happy at this north side staple. With new vendors added every year, it’s no wonder this is one of the most popular markets in town.

Noblesville Market

When: May-October, open Saturdays from 8:00 am-noon
Where: Federal Hill Commons, 175 Logan St, Noblesville, IN 46060
About: The Noblesville Farmers’ Market is the oldest and largest market in Hamilton County, with more than 80 vendors, and includes handmade items and crafts. Come and peruse the booths, or relax and enjoy the live music while indulging in one of the many food and drink offerings. 

Garfield Park Farmers’ Market

When: May-October, open Saturdays from 9:00 am-12:30 pm
Where: 2345 Pagoda Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46203
About: The Garfield Park Farmers’ Market is located in Garfield Park next to the tennis courts near the corner of Shelby Street and East Southern Avenue. This market is another great way to support local farmers and artisans. The 2021 vendor list will be announced soon on their website. 

Zionsville Market

When: May 22nd – September 25th, open Saturdays from 8:00-11:30 am
Where: 349 S Main St Zionsville, IN 46077
About: At a new location this year, the Zionsville Farmers’ Market is located in the heart of the village. In this quaint market, you will find locally grown produce, fresh meat, and eggs. Local restaurants offer made-to-order favorites. Grab breakfast and take time to walk through this charming downtown village. You won’t regret it.

Brownsburg Market

When: June 3rd – September 30th, open Thursdays from 4:00-7:00 pm
Where: Town Hall Green, 61 N. Green St, Brownsburg, IN 46112
About: Voted the “Best of Hendricks County” in 2013 and 2014 by readers of the Hendricks County Flyer, the Brownsburg Farmers’ Market is located on the Brownsburg Town Hall Green. You’ll find fresh produce, baked goods, and handcrafted items. Check out their website for a list of fun activities you will find at upcoming markets.

Plainfield Chamber Farmers’ Market

When: Begins June 2nd, open Wednesdays from 4:00-7:00 pm
Where: Plainfield Friends Church, 105 S. East Street, Plainfield, IN 46168
About: Located in downtown Plainfield on the lawn of the Plainfield Friends Meeting at US 40 and SR 267, the Plainfield Chamber Farmers Market occurs every Wednesday, rain or shine. In addition to the typical farmers’ market offerings, you’ll also find non-profit info booths and food trucks.

Greenwood Market

When: April 24th – September 25th, open Saturdays from 8:00 am-noon
Where: Greenwood United Methodist Church, 525 N Madison Ave Greenwood, IN 46142
About: Established in 1992, the Greenwood Farmers’ Market is located at the Greenwood United Methodist Church. It showcases the usual market fare including great plants, produce, crafts, and food. 

Fishers Market

When: May 1st – September 25th, open Saturdays from 8:00 am-noon
Where: 6 Municipal Drive Fishers, IN 46038
About: Located at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, the Fishers Farmers’ Market features over 60 amazing vendors. This market offers produce, plants, baked goods, meat and eggs, honey, beverages, and even dog treats! 

Avon Market

When: June 1st – September 14th, open Tuesdays from 4:00-7:00 pm
Where: Hendricks Regional Health, 8244 E. US Hwy 36, Avon, IN 46123
About: The Avon Farmers’ Market is located in the South parking lot of the Hendricks Regional Health and will announce their vendor line-up soon. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for more information as it becomes available so you can enjoy their farmers’ market experience!

The Market at White River State Park

When: The first and third Sundays during May and June – May 2nd, May 16th, June 6th, and June 20th from 9:30 am-1:00 pm
Where: 801 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
About: Our last Indianapolis farmers’ market is the Market at White River State Park. The location for this recurring event is at the White River State Park’s Celebration Plaza (the area between the NCAA Headquarters and White River State Park Visitor Center). It offers all the usual farmers’ market goods – local produce, meat, eggs, flowers, plants, and handcrafted goods.

Westfield Market

When: June 3rd – September 30th, open Thursdays from 5:00-8:00 pm
Where: 205 Park St, Westfield, IN 46074
About: The Westfield Farmers’ Market is located just south of the Grand Junction Plaza. The market will be open from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The address for the market is the business closest to the market entrance. Check out their Facebook page for updates.
