We are thrilled to announce our 2021 Summer Season offering the opportunity for young performers ages 6-21 to work on their acting skills. We also have opportunities for behind-the-scenes work as well.
The MelRose Theatre Summer production of Back to the 80s is open to youth ages 13-21. This is a great opportunity for youth interested in acting to develop their onstage skills. Cast members will focus on character development skills and will have the opportunity to explore prop building, stage makeup, lighting, sound, set building, costumes, directing, and production through workshops during the first two weeks. This three-week production will culminate in four performances that will be available to live and virtual audiences.
Rehearsals will be held Monday-Friday, June 7-25, 2021, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Storefront Theater in Broad Ripple.
There is no cost to participate in this production.

The MelRose Theatre Summer Camp is open to youth ages 6-12. This camp is a great opportunity for youth interested in acting to learn and grow their on-stage skills. Campers will work with instructors using acting games and character-building exercises to develop skills focused on building their character. Students will also have the opportunity to learn the basics of prop building, costuming, set design, lighting, and sound design. We will welcome families to enjoy a performance of Alice in Wonderland in Broad Ripple Park – Shelter 1 on Saturday, July 24 at 3:00 pm.
The camp will be held Monday-Friday, July 12-19, 2021, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Storefront Theater in Broad Ripple.
Camp fee is $350 per camper. Payment is required at the time of registration. *A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available.
